Our location
Le Coloniche is located in the rural district of Serravalle Pistoiese whose history dates back to the high Middle Ages.
In Serravalle Pistoiese you can find the remains of Barbarossa's 6th century tower, and a 12th century tower built by the army leader Castruccio Castracani.
The village of Serravalle Pistoiese is available through the local route "Lucchese" SS 435 which connects with the A11 motorway from Montecatini Terme for those arriving by seaside, and from Pistoia for those coming from Florence.
Arriving from Florence:
Take the A11 motorway, exit at the "Pistoia" exit and follow the directions to "Pistoia-Ovest/Abetone".
Follow the signs toward "Pistoia-centro/Montecatini" and follow the SS435 up to Serravalle Pistoiese.
When you pass through Serravalle Pistoiese, take the first turn on the left (via Perticaia) which is 500 meters after the sign "Ponte di Serravalle". At this point just follow signs to Residence Le Coloniche.
The Residence is 8 km from the Pistoia motorway exit.
Arriving from Pisa Airport:
Leaving Pisa Airport take the A12 motorway following the direction of Genova/Pisa Nord.
Take the A11 motorway in the direction of Florence and exit at "Montecatini Terme"; follow signs to "Pieve a Nievole" and "Pistoia".
After 100 mt. you'll pass over a railroad crossing and need to turn left to follow signs to "Pistoia". Continue on this SS435 road for 4 km, go through la Colonna to Ponte di Serravalle and across the town. Look for signs to Le Coloniche near the Bar Rosa sign in Ponte Serravalle and follow them to Residence Le Coloniche.
The Residence is 5 km from the Montecatini motorway exit.
